Salvador Tourism

Welcome to Salvador tourism – the country that has been racked by the Civil War during the 1980s and a series of natural disasters. Though the country became physically ravaged and tormented, still Salvador tourism is quite popular throughout the world, attracting thousands of tourists every year. Tourism in Salvador is appreciated by visitors not only because of its well-maintenance of the natural scenic places, but also its optimism and resilience in surviving the disasters. The major attractions in Salvador include mountains and volcanoes, beaches, and archaeological sites dating as early as the Maya civilization, and tropical nature preserves. The mountains lying in the Cerro Verde National Park are the famous ones offering spectacular panoramas.

Salvador tourism is becoming one of the favorite holiday destinations for tourists all over the world because of its friendly local people who love to chat, scenic broad valleys, volcanic landscapes, dense emerald forests, craggy mountains, and large number of hotels. Though the rugged mountains are the perfect ones for great hiking experience attracting swarms of tourists, the richest resource of the country is its inhabitants who are truly happy to help or chat with the tourists.

Salvador features exotic nightlife that can be enjoyed by tourists in the country’s numerous nightclubs, bars and lounges, colorful street parties, and live music joints. The clubs and the streets become alive during the night with music, dance and merrymaking. For the comfort and convenience of tourists, Salvador tourism has arranged for accommodation facilities of different types to meet the varied needs and budget of visitors. Some hotels also have their own nightclubs and bars for the enjoyment of their guests.

Best Time for Visiting Salvador
El Salvador experiences a tropical climate having only two seasons: the dry season (from November to April), and the wet or rainy season (from May to October). The coastal areas remain the hottest places all over the year, whereas the mountainous regions always remain cool with low temperatures. The best time of the year to visit El Salvador is at the commencement or end of the dry season, when there are no daily rains and the conditions of the roads remain in good position. Moreover, most of the cultural and traditional festivals of Salvador take place during this time. The prime vacation period starts from Christmas till mid-January. You can get the opportunity to enjoy the week-long festival of Semana Santa before Easter and also during the first week of August when the annual festival of San Salvador takes place.
